Naira invoicing and automatic VAT

All invoicing in BizOS is done in Naira, since that is the currency your customers pay in.

VAT in Nigeria is a flat 7.5 percent, and BizOS applies it automatically to your invoices. You do not need to calculate it by hand or remember to add it, it is included as a separate line on the invoice so your customer can see exactly what they are being charged and why.

This matters at tax time too. Because every invoice already has VAT calculated and recorded, your VAT report is built from real invoice data rather than something you have to reconstruct later. You can read more about generating that report in the tax reporting article.

If you are new to charging VAT, the short version is that you do not need to change how you price your work. You set your price, BizOS adds VAT on top, and your customer pays the total. What you owe in VAT is tracked automatically in the background.
