Setting up custom SMTP

Last updated July 16, 2026

By default, emails from BizOS, such as invoices and automation emails, are sent from a default BizOS address. On Momentum and Apex, you can connect your own business email instead, so customers see emails coming from you directly.

Go to Settings and find the Email section. You will need your SMTP details from your email provider, usually including a server address, port, username, and password. Most business email providers list these details in their own settings or help documentation.

Enter these details into BizOS and save. It is worth sending a test email afterward to confirm everything is working correctly before relying on it for real invoices.

If your SMTP details are incorrect, BizOS will let you know rather than silently failing to send, so you can fix the issue before it affects a customer.
