Quick setup checklist

Last updated July 16, 2026

Once your account is created, a handful of steps will get you to a working setup quickly. You do not need to do all of this in one sitting, but this is the order that tends to make the most sense.

Add your logo and business details. This shows up on your invoices and reports, so it is worth doing early rather than after you have already sent your first invoice.

Import or add your contacts. If you already have a spreadsheet of customers, you can import it with a CSV file on Momentum and above. On Foundation, you can add contacts one at a time.

Set up your sales pipeline if you sell to businesses or have a sales process with stages. If your business is mostly invoicing without a sales cycle, you can skip this and come back to it later.

Create your first invoice. This is a good way to see how VAT is calculated automatically and how Paystack collection works if you connect it.

Connect Paystack if you want customers to pay invoices directly online rather than by bank transfer. This step is optional but saves you a lot of manual reconciliation later.

If you have staff, add them and set up payroll so PAYE is calculated correctly from your first pay run.

None of these steps are required before you can use BizOS. They are simply the order that gets your account fully useful the fastest.
